Acquiring a closely supervised training in laparoscopic surgery under world renowned surgeons was always a dream for me. This programme was a great success in this regard. The programme was well designed and provided opportunities for active and passive learning in a truly academic atmosphere. The specific skills attained included techniques of safe laparoscopic surgery, exposure to advanced laparoscopic surgical procedures, Critical thinking and philosophy of research and academic writing. I believe that the availability of this course is a great advantage for national and international surgeons.
